A hiking trip in the Gila is an awesome experience. Our services
and knowledge help make the most of the time you spend here. All camp equipment and supplies are provided so you only need to
bring your clothing and personal items. Mules do the packing, you
carry a small pack with your day essentials. Guides cook delicious, hearty meals and do camp chores, leaving you the free time to enjoy your own pursuits. Trips are custom planned to meet the needs and desires of your group, an easy hike to a lovely base camp or an adventurous cross-country trek. We design trips for all ages and abilities. Cost will vary with the particulars of your trip, generally $150-$200 per person, per day.

Professional Ornithologist Mike Fugagli is available to accompany you on your trip.
Mike is a Conservation Biologist and an Ornithology expert with a background in bird research and endangered species. He has a focus on riparian study and conservation of the Gila River. Mike was the house naturalist at the Nature Conservancy's Bear Mountain Lodge for 6 years - until its closing in 2009. He lives in Gila, New Mexico.
